The New York Botanical Garden, a National Historic Landmark and one of New York City’s premier cultural institutions seek a Manager of Visitor Services with excellent demonstrated customer service skills and strong supervisory/management experience.
Summary of Responsibilities:
The Manager of Visitor Services is responsible for all aspects of Customer Services related to the Visitor Experience including admission and information services, parking and internal information. She/He will assist in overseeing the management of Visitor Services daily operations including supplies, materials and equipment maintenance. She/He will supervise Visitor Services Attendants and maintains records of visitation and visitor related revenue, and prepares reports related to this information for various levels of administration. The Manager of Visitor Services communicates information to all parties regarding events, schedules, cash management, general admission policies and other relevant details important to the guest services of the Garden visitor.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 2 to 3 years of supervisory experience in a customer service related field.
• 2 to 3 year years experience in cash handling.
• Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• New York State valid driver’s license.
• Must be flexible to work weekends.
• Must be able to work outdoors.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel and database applications preferred.
Annual Salary: $50,000. We offer excellent benefits that include 4 weeks paid vacation a year, 401k savings plan, free employee parking on premises and more!
